We'll tell you. CARING FOR A BOUQUET OF FLOWERS CONSISTS OF SEVERAL STAGES. 1. WHEN YOU COME HOME, BE SURE TO PUT THE BOUQUET IN THE WATER. If it's cold outside, leave the flowers warm for 15-20 minutes, allowing them to take the room temperature. Without water, the bouquet will fade quickly, remember this. A common mistake is to buy a bouquet and leave it in the car, in the garage or somewhere else WITHOUT water for a long time (more than half an hour) 2. THE VASE The bouquet vase should not be too small so that the flowers do not outweigh the vase, and too narrow so as not to injure the stems (how to keep a bouquet fresh in the cold season, read our article) 3. WATER Pour the most ordinary water into a CLEAN vase. Tap water is quite suitable for your flowers to stand in it. You can let the water settle (but in general it is not necessary). The water temperature is room temperature. And only for tulips you can choose cooler (these flowers love icy water) 4. PRUNING THE STEMS Be sure to trim the stems before dipping the flowers into the water. For roses — at an angle of 45 degrees, for chrysanthemums — just break off the ends with your hand. Why is this so important? Air bubbles clog the channels through which the water inside the stem flows to the buds. By not pruning the stem of the flower, you prevent the water from reaching the bud quickly and in the right volume — therefore it will fade faster. 5. TEMPERATURE Fresh flowers do not like hot rooms, drafts, and tobacco smoke, so if possible, eliminate these harmful factors. It is very important to keep flowers AWAY from heat sources (bacteria, underfloor heating, radiators, stoves, etc. ovens) 6. IF CONDITIONS ALLOW, TAKE THE BOUQUET OUT TO A COOL PLACE OVERNIGHT. 7. Special chemicals (for example, products from the companies Crisal, Floralife) are designed to make CUT plants bloom and smell longer in your home after purchase. In order for the bouquets to last longer, the proportion of dilution of the product in water should be adhered to (as a rule, one sachet is diluted in 0.5 liters of pure water). If the bouquet is large, this amount of water is clearly not enough! Please note: the water with the chemical powder can be changed less frequently — about once every two days. Therefore, calculate in advance the number of bags of "Crystal" for the volume of the vase and for long-term storage of the bouquet (at least for a week). As you can see, one bag, which is usually given when buying a bouquet, will not be able to provide your flowers with long-term protection. Therefore, you have two options: buy a lot of such bags, or still use clean tap water and follow certain rules when changing it.
